About the Product

We build an ITSM / ITAM solution available as both SaaS and on-premise. Engineering team of ~30 engineers, with a mix of legacy components and newer .NET-based services.

Automation exists, but a significant part of regression testing is still manual — slowing down releases. This role is key to changing that.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of our test automation approach and evolve it into a more structured, scalable system
  • Build on existing automation by improving reliability, expanding coverage, and introducing clear patterns and best practices
  • Increase automated coverage of critical user journeys
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Work closely with the QA team and support their transition toward automation

Test automation stack

  • We use Playwright with TypeScript as our primary automation stack.
  • Experience with Playwright is strongly preferred.

AI-assisted development

  • We actively use AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and similar) to support development and testing workflows.
  • We expect you to be comfortable incorporating these tools into your daily work—for example, to accelerate test creation, explore edge cases, and reduce repetitive effort.
  • If you’re enthusiastic about AI and enjoy experimenting with new tools and workflows, that’s a strong plus.

Team collaboration and mentorship

  • You’ll work closely with our QA team, which is currently more focused on manual testing.
  • Part of your role will be to support the team in growing their automation skills—through collaboration, code reviews, and sharing best practices.
  • This is a hands-on role where you lead by example rather than through formal management responsibilities.

Tech Stack and Tools

  • Platform: .NET.
  • Automation framework: Playwright, TypeScript.
  • Adjacent tools: Cypress, Selenium.
  • AI-assisted development: GitHub Copilot and similar.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks
  • Solid coding skills (TypeScript or similar)
  • Ability to work hands-on in an environment where automation is still developing

Important:

  • Experience with Playwright, or willingness to adopt it as the primary tool
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience mentoring QA engineers transitioning into automation

What success looks like

In your first months, you will:

  • Establish a clearer structure and direction for test automation
  • Improve coverage of critical user flows
  • Reduce the time and effort required for regression testing
  • Help QA team members grow their automation capabilities

Conditions

  • 🕐 Fully remote, 40h/week, flexible schedule
  • 💰 Competitive salary with regular reviews
  • 📄 Service contract, work from any country (exc. Russia and Belarus)
  • 📚 Education budget — courses, conferences, training covered
  • 🤝 Long-term collaboration — we're building a serious product
