Position Summary
The Network administrator plans, directs, and coordinates the design, installation, and connectivity network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of IT assets. The position oversees the development, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of all new and existing network and telecommunication.
The Network Administrator is responsible for the LAN/WAN in office/data center, network security, and all Network infrastructure.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware, and equipment, including routers, switches, etc.
- Manage and ensure the effectiveness of network security solutions
- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the security of the company’s data
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and internal controls
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements
- Research, perform cost-benefit analyses, and recommend network products, services, and standards in support of network infrastructure procurement and development efforts
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure network products and services
- Direct the diagnosis and resolution of network problems
- Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of IT
