Graphic Designer — Marketing Creative

We are hiring a full-time, mid-level graphic designer to create clear, compelling, conversion-oriented marketing assets.

This is not a traditional production-design role. The ideal candidate combines strong visual-design skills with an understanding of copywriting, customer psychology, marketing strategy, and customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

The primary work will include:

  • Organic social media graphics
  • Paid advertising creative
  • Landing-page and sales-page visuals
  • Email marketing visuals
  • Creative variations for testing.

The designer must be able to take a marketing idea, offer, customer insight, or rough piece of copy and turn it into a polished asset that captures attention, communicates quickly, and encourages action.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio of digital marketing, advertising, social media, or acquisition-focused creative.
  • Excellent typography, spacing, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to improve headlines, simplify ideas, and identify the most persuasive message.
  • Understanding of how creative supports customer acquisition and campaign goals
  • Ability to work independently from a brief, rough concept, or draft copy.
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms, formats, and aspect ratios.
  • Proficiency with professional design software.
  • Working knowledge of modern AI creative tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English. English does not need to be the candidate’s first language, but they must be able to communicate comfortably and clearly in English. You should be able to understand feedback, explain design decisions, collaborate with the marketing team, and confidently evaluate English-language marketing copy.

     

Ideal Background Strong candidates may come from:

  • A performance-marketing or digital creative agency.
  • A consumer startup or SaaS company.
  • An e-commerce or direct-response brand.
  • A growth-oriented freelance background.
  • A small, fast-moving marketing team.
  • Experience with paid social advertising, subscriptions, online education, digital products, motion design, or video editing is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with gamification principles, probability-based game mechanics, and turn-based systems is a plus
  • Design ability, marketing judgment, copywriting instincts, and communication skills are substantially more important.


AI Expectations

The candidate should be comfortable using AI tools for:

  • Creative ideation
  • Generative imagery
  • Photo editing and background replacement
  • Headline and copy development
  • Mockup creation
  • Rapid production of creative variations We are not looking for someone who relies on unedited AI output.
  • The ideal candidate uses AI as part of a professional workflow and can identify and correct work that looks artificial, inconsistent, or poorly executed.

  • Candidates whose portfolios are visually polished but show little understanding of messaging, marketing strategy, or customer acquisition are unlikely to be the right fit.

Conditions

  • Remote position — work from anywhere
  • Distributed team across multiple time zones
  • At least 3–4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time (PT) required for task syncs and team coordination
  • Other terms to be discussed during the interview
